Building in events at certain timepoints throughout model

Hello!

I am building a Markov Model where we are hoping to build in clinic visit and treatment costs at the following timepoints: Every week for 3 weeks at the beginning of  3, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, and 36 months.

Have been trying to use _stage and Modulo for this, but don't seem to be getting the desired result !

Many thanks in advance for your help!

Best,

Joy

  • I was thinking of:

    (cScreen+cTreatment)* if((_stage>=13)&(modulo(_stage;13)>=1)&(modulo(_stage;13)<=3);1;0)

assuming weekly cycles, no screening at _stage = 0, and no discounting

Is this similar to yours, Andrew?

  • I have another option that might be simpler.

Create a table to define which cycles should have doses. The index column would have _stage values (0-N) and the value column would have a 1 for cycles with doses and a 0 for cycles without doses.

    Index, Value
    0, 1
    1, 0
    2, 0
    3, 1
    4, 0
    5, 0
    6, 1
    etc.

In terms of the weeks vs. months, you would just pay for all 3 weeks of doses at the beginning of the monthly cycle for appropriate months.
