My Mac will not allow me to install/start TreeAge Pro (circa

Mac security settings will sometimes generate a message that a software installer is not from an authorized developer. The message may say something like this.

"TreeAge Pro can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers."

Apple objects to installations that do not come through the Apple store, but you can still install TreeAge Pro.

To allow the installation...

  1. Go to System Preferences.
  2. Double-click on Security & Privacy.
  3. You should see a message related to installing TreeAge Pro with an option to allow the installation.
