If you over allocate Heap Space and TreeAge Pro does not start up there is an easier way to fix it rather than re-installing TreeAge Pro.
For Windows
- Run Notepad as administrator. Right Click on Notepad Icon and select Run As Administrator. This is just in case your folders in
C:\Program Files\have administrative access restriction. - Select Open file and navigate to were TreeAge Pro is installed. Typically:
C:\Program Files\TreeAgePro - Open file TreeAgePro.ini
- Change the over allocated memory entry: e.g. -Xmx7000m ; To something that works e.g. -Xmx768m is the default setting.
- Save TreeAgePro.ini and restart TreeAgePro. It should now start up correctly.
For Mac OSX
- Open Finder and Navigate to where TreeAge Pro is installed. Typically
Applications\TreeAge Pro XXXX\ - Select and Right Click on TreeAgePro select "Show Package Contents"
- Select Contents
- Select MacOS
- Select and Double Click on TreeAgePro.ini, this will open TreeAgePro.ini in Text Edit.
- Change the over allocated memory entry: e.g. -Xmx7000m ; To something that works e.g. -Xmx768m is the default setting.
- Save TreeAgePro.ini and restart TreeAgePro. It should now start up correctly.
